The Grade II Listed former Post Office building in Whitby Street has been refurbished and extended to turn it into a centre for business start-ups in the creative industries sector.

The Northern Studios will be the only dedicated film and television studio production base in the North East region. The proposed development will provide 3,000m2 of sound stage, green screen studio, workshops and production office space.
