Coastal Communities Teams

Coastal Community Teams enable local communities to come together and develop a common vision and plans for their area. Hartlepool has successfully established two Coastal Community Teams, one in Seaton Carew and one for the Headland & Harbour.

  • A short tourism film titled “Coast” has been produced highlighting the natural, cultural and tourism assets of Hartlepool's coastline. To view the film, visit www.destinationhartlepool.com
  • Twenty large tourism information boards for visitors have been installed.
  • Supported the successful bid for £600k to the Coastal Communities Fund to help pay towards the Seaton Carew regeneration works, the Waves artwork, and the Boy & the Bicycle artwork.
  • The Hartlepool Railway Station & Coast project won the "Highly Commended" award at the 2017 North East Tourism Awards for Visitor Information Provider of the Year category.
