Retrain, retain, recruit.  Is your sector unlocking the potential of the 50+ workforce?

 

Educational Development Trust (EDT) are working in conjunction with North East Local Enterprise Partnership (NELEP) on a Department for Working Pensions (DWP) funded pilot titled Fuller Working Lives (FWL).

The pilot is a response to the government’s agenda to retain, retrain and recruit older workers.

There are currently 10 million workers aged 50 plus in the economy and business critical skills in some sectors are owned by a generation.  By 2020, the over 50s will make up almost a third of the working age population.  Have you got a strategy in place for their recruitment, development and retention?

Employer information sessions are being held throughout the North East to help you do jsut that.  You can find out how to access free consultancy support for your business and in depth advice and guidance for your employees.
