Festival of Illustration which will start on 4th June and is a collaboration between Cleveland College of Art and Design, Hartlepool Borough Council and Seven Stories – the National Centre for Children’s Books. Month long exhibitions will take place at the Hartlepool Art Gallery and Central Library; there will be a symposium and master classes for young and aspiring artists while children will be able to take part in storytelling and drawing events in schools and libraries throughout the town.
In the run up to the Festival CCAD will be hosting “Draw your Superhero” sessions in Middleton Grange. An illustrators market in Church Square kicks off on the evening of Thursday 4th and continues all day Friday 5th & Saturday 6th. You will have the opportunity to buy work from exciting artists from around the country.
