Cycling can make you happier, healthier and wealthier and it makes our communities cleaner, greener and more liveable.
Sign up for Cycle September to join a free, fun, friendly workplace competition to get more people on bikes. It doesn’t matter if you ride every day or you haven’t been on a bike in years, everyone is invited and you only have to ride a bike for ten minutes to take part.
You can win amazing prizes for riding and encouraging, including holidays, bikes, gear, vouchers – and even a trip to the Grand Canyon or New Zealand!
It only takes 30 seconds to register at lovetoride.net/teesvalley. Once you’ve registered you can download posters and flyers for your organisation – and let the competition begin!
And locally, the Council is keen to get more people to take to two wheels. Through the Hartlepool Active Travel Hub, a Hartlepool Council project funded externally by the Government’s Access Fund, we can offer;
- FREE cycle training for adults at any level from learn to ride to commuter cycling on roads.
- Bike maintenance training
- Advice about the Cycle to Work scheme where employees can get bikes, tax free
- Support to businesses wishing to promote cycling through such as workplace events and bike breakfasts.
