Selling Art Overseas Online
From Stanley to Sydney and Seaham to Seattle. From Teesdale to Tokyo and Pity Me to Paris - there’s now a global audience for your creative goods and services that is only a click or two away.
International trade is no longer conducted exclusively from the corporate boardroom but is something businesses of all sizes can undertake with a little support.
There’s an enormous demand for quality British creative goods and we know that some amongst you are already 'accidental exporters' who may want to look at capitalising on markets where there are clear opportunities.
This taster session form The Department of International Trade is designed to help you to begin selling internationally on line for the first time or strengthen your online presence overseas. A practical focussed event, with take away hints and tips to use in day-to-day business.
At our free workshop you will:
- Identify your international customer needs and preferences.
- Learn how to generate more website traffic and quality leads from overseas markets.
- Gain a better understanding of international social media and how to tailor it to your audience.
- Identify practical next steps for your business and develop a digital action plan.
- Learn where to go for support on selling successfully into overseas markets.
This workshop is delivered by Sue Beverley, E Commerce and Digital Trade Adviser for the Department of International Trade (DIT) in the North East of England. DIT is the lead Government organisation that helps UK companies sell their products and services overseas. With the biggest and most comprehensive global support network for UK exporters, they help companies win business in overseas markets quicker and help them avoid expensive mistakes.
