North East CyberFest

The North East’s largest cyber festival is returning this autumn – and will be even bigger and better.

The inaugural #CyberFest event was organised by regional IT champions Dynamo North East last September. Six events were held throughout the region, which featured 40 speakers and were attended by more than 500 delegates.

#CyberFest raises awareness of the North East as a place to address cyber resilience and to educate and inform of the threats and opportunities from cyber. But it isn’t just about cyber security and resilience, it’s about the huge opportunities and how local businesses can grow their businesses.

This year’s festival will be held in September, with events planned for Durham, Middlesbrough, Newcastle, Sunderland and Alnwick. Venues for some events have yet to be confirmed.

The Tees Valley flagship event, Cyber in a Changing Business Model – Harnessing Opportunities is being hosted by Teesside University and Digital City.
