Phase 1 of this 65 hectare (160acre) Queens Meadow Business Park has been completed and has seen construction of modern, high class business units, a modern landscaped environment, as well as the UKSE Innovation Centre that provides managed accommodation for new start businesses. Queens Meadow Business Park is part of the Tees Valley Enterprise Zone.
A Business Rate Discount Site where tenants can benefit from business rate relief of up to £55,000 per annum for a five year period.
Over 13 hectares of prime development land is available with existing units available for immediate occupation with a focus on those businesses involved in advanced manufacturing and engineering, chemicals and renewable energy sectors.
The Tees Valley Enterprise Zone was among the first Enterprise Zones to be approved by the Government in August 2011 and is made up of 12 individual sites 3 of which are in Hartlepool (including Queens Meadow Business Park). Incentives available include business rate relief, enhanced capital allowances, simplified planning and superfast broadband.
Tees Valley Enterprise Zone benefits are available for all businesses irrespective of whether they are currently located in or outside the Tees Valley area. In order to benefit from the incentives available companies must be from one of the sectors identified for each of the Enterprise Zone sites. Business already located within the Tees Valley will also need to demonstrate business growth as part of their relocation.
